Dear Friends, Artists, Customers and Families,
Firstly I would like to wish you a very happy and healthy New Year for 2010.
As you may know, I opened the “Where I Fell In Love Gallery” over five years ago in Shipston-on-Stour, and have since helped over 250 artists by exhibiting and selling their work. I have loved every moment of it, from searching out the artists, getting to know them and introducing their work to the public.
Many of you will remember the “Vernissages” I organised, the Pottery Festivals and the Cup and Saucer exhibition.
Sadly, from a business point of view, the last year has been extremely difficult for all galleries and artists and I have now invested everything I have in the Gallery to try to survive this recession, even remaining open seven days a week and drawing little, if any, salary. In June, I relocated the Gallery to a bigger town, Royal Leamington Spa, with the aim of promoting the art and artists to a wider audience and to try to pass on the passion I feel.
I now have to make the decision of whether to stay open or to finally close the Gallery doors and I would like to ask your help before I do so.
How can you help me? I am sorry to say that with no help from the Banks or the Government I desperately need to raise some funds to be able to keep the gallery doors open and here are a few ways of doing it.
I am setting up a Facebook Group as well so please invite all your friends to join and hopefully, with all your help, I will be able to support British and international artists for many years to come.
I would like to thank everyone for taking the time to consider my cry for help.
A bientot et Merci,
Bruno
